Fourteen Years Ago Today
A silver-golden sunrise,
Inside my head above my eyes,
Expectations, dreams, and promises,
This day and hour of surprise.
There is a certain lightness
Floating in the air I breathe,
Undulating pulsing energy’
Filling all I’m to receive.
Everything is in slow motion,
Each frame slower than before,
A crescendo of excitement,
My gaze fixed upon a door.
Then, she, brighter than the sunrise,
On a breeze enters the room,
Giving life to life in me,
As love burst into bloom.
